Robert Anthony "Tony" Bethel, a cherished father, son, brother, and grandfather, passed away on April 4, 2024 in Temple Terrace, FL, at the age of 49. Born on September 18, 1974, in Tampa, FL.
Tony was known for his wisdom, handiness, and deep faith. He was a skilled automotive painter, a profession that reflected his meticulous nature and eye for detail. His work was not just a job but a canvas where he expressed his passion for bringing new life to every vehicle he touched.
Beyond his professional life, Tony was an avid photographer, especially of wildlife, capturing the beauty of nature through his lens. His love for animals was evident to all who knew him, and his hiking adventures were among his most cherished moments, allowing him to connect with the great outdoors he so loved.
A devoted member of the First Baptist Church Dover, Tony's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was baptized in December 2023, an event that brought him immense peace and joy.
Tony's legacy lives on through his loving family: his daughters Victoria Alexandra-Neal Bethel and Davalyn Hicks; his parents Robert Anthony Bethel and Myrra Y. Blocker; his sisters Yvonne Bethel and Melissa (J.D.) Riley; his grandchildren James Alexander-Klaus Wolfe and Lillith Isabella-Jane Wolfe; and countless other family members.
In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Tony's life was indeed a testament to this sentiment, as he touched the hearts of many and made the world a brighter place for those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Friends and family will be received Saturday April 13, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at First Baptist Church Dover.
A memorial service for Tony will follow at 12:30 PM.
