Mary Kathryn Knick, a cherished matriarch and beacon of wisdom, passed away on April 3, 2024, in Tampa, FL, at the age of 91. Born on May 12, 1932, in Middleborough, KY, Mary's industrious spirit and kind heart touched many throughout her life.
Mary's professional journey was marked by her tenacity and versatility. She began her career at General Motors in Flint, Michigan, before moving on to Van Dyne Crotty in Dayton, Ohio, and then Staco Electric. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as she successfully owned and operated K-N-B Cleaning. Mary's dedication to her work was paralleled only by her commitment to her faith as a devoted member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Plant City, FL.
Known affectionately as a "Jill of all trades," Mary's hands were rarely still, and her advice was always sought after. She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Barb) Benedict, William (Deborah) Benedict, JoAnn (Edward) Gottschall, Paul (Deb) Knick, five sisters, one brother, ten grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren, who will continue to honor her legacy by living out her teachings.
As Albert Einstein once said, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." Mary embodied this sentiment, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and invaluable wisdom. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of all who knew her.
Mary's memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 20th, 2024, at Plant City Kingdom Hall.
